Little public input regarding Mariners Park

When Steve Eatough and Mike Bahrke presented their vision for a new Mariners Park in Liberty Grove last September, they hoped that it would be a starting point in a larger discussion of what to do with the Weborg property. Speaking with Door County Daily News.com at that time, Eatough said he wanted other groups to put in their conceptual plans so that the best possible park could be developed. Almost six months later, Administrator Walter Kalms says the village has not received any additional designs. The Mariners Park project was discussed earlier this month at the Parks and Property Committee meeting.

Kalms stresses that no final decisions have been made on the Mariners Park project as it remains in the early planning stages. He is welcoming of new public input.
