The Ninth COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Door County according to local health officials on Friday afternoon. Door County Public Health is contacting anyone who may have been in close contact with all infected individuals. Public health officials remind people of the importance of following the CDC guidelines on social distancing and maintaining good hand washing to prevent the spread of the virus. All travel to and from Door County is highly discouraged. Door County Public Health reports that there have been a total of 157 tests performed in the county with 95 total negative results and 53 still pending as of 2 pm Friday.
