Local automobile dealers can expect a possible boost in new vehicle sales this month. According to a joint forecast from J.D. Power and LMC Automotive, retail sales for new vehicles are expected to increase 6.8 percent over last October. Jorns Chevrolet of Kewaunee Sales Manager Jesse Yahnke says he has noticed a big demand for certain vehicles.
Yahnke says the dealership will buy between 80 and 90 percent all-wheel-drive vehicles to accommodate their customers. He adds that low financing rates, some under one percent, make many more vehicles affordable than at any other time. The J.D. Power report shows on the national scope that the average new-vehicle retail transaction price in October is expected to reach a record of $36,755.
