Sevastopol continues with homecoming tradition

Despite not having a bonfire, a football game, or a dance, Sevastopol High School was not about to let homecoming week disappear like so much else has this year. Classes decorated the hallways and dressed up for spirit days like they always have in the past. Seniors still got the opportunity to participate in the tradition of painting their parking spot and were even surprised with a class trip to Peninsula State Park thanks to some local businesses. Sevastopol Principal Adam Baier says the Class of 2021 is missing out on so much and it was time to give them some memories back.

A morning send-off of the state qualifying girls’ cross country team  and an afternoon virtual pep rally capped off the week for the Pioneers’ homecoming week. The school also dedicated a bench carved by local artist Cody Leist in memory of Paula Symons, who passed away recently after years of working for the district.
