Shifting load causes tanker to overturn

A shift in a load of a tanker appears to have caused the overturn of the vehicle on Highway 42/57 north of Sturgeon Bay on Thursday at about 9:45 a.m.  The accident caused highway traffic to be detoured for over three hours.  The driver of the Septic Maintenance truck was traveling south on Highway 57 and failed to navigate the turn at the intersection of the two highways.  Door County Chief Deputy Pat McCarty says the driver was not injured but may have been traveling a little too fast when taking the turn.

McCarty adds that the road was reopened shortly after 1 pm.  Septic Maintenance owner Tony Gosser told DoorCountyDailyNews.com that he would like to extend appreciation to all the emergency agencies that responded to the accident and administered care for his employee.
