Ephraim Men

The scholarship pot for future Gibraltar High School graduates got a little sweeter after a matching grant for the Ephraim Men’s Club was announced earlier this week. The club that has raised approximately $300,000 over the years for Gibraltar students received an anonymous $25,000 challenge grant. Donation funds for next year’s scholarships will be matched up to that $25,000 amount, which Vice President of the Ephraim Men’s club, George Harmon, says will increase what they can do next year. In a press release, club president Jim Reeve said that the combination of a successful pancake breakfast and this matching grant should enable them to create more and larger scholarships for students graduating next spring. The club was able to raise $30,000 last year despite not holding its annual pancake breakfast.
