A two-vehicle accident on the northbound lane of Highway 57 Monday afternoon caused traffic to be funneled down to one lane near the intersection of Stone Road in the Town of Union for about an hour.
Occupants of the vehicles were reportedly being evaluated by EMTs and appeared to not be seriously injured or in need of transport to the hospital. The accident occurred at about 3 pm and caused a slight backup of traffic on Highway 57 north near the Southern Door schools until the highway was completely reopened at about 4 pm.
