Highway 57 north of Sturgeon Bay was closed for more than an hour Tuesday afternoon after a vehicular accident on snow-covered roads.  According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the accident occurred between Highway 42 and Mathey Road shortly before 2:30 pm and caused the closure of both lanes of traffic on Highway 57 until about 3:30 pm.   The Door County Sheriff’s Department has not released any information regarding the accident or if any injuries occurred.  DoorCountyDailyNews.com will update this story as more details become available.
