The Door County YMCA is starting up a new volunteer group to keep one of its outdoor facilities in shape. Membership Experience Executive Brett Cleveland says the “Friends of Peterson Park” will be a team of volunteers who have a passion for the outdoors and improving the 10-acre recreational area created in 2014. He shares some of the projects the volunteers will be focusing on this spring and summer.
Peterson Park is located on the north edge of the Sturgeon Bay Program Center campus and is open to the public. You can find more information on all volunteer opportunities and the upcoming summer food programs for kids on the Y Wednesday Podcast page.
