While Sunday’s inaugural gala event will feature the seasoned and familiar Griffon String Quartet, it will be the faces you do not know and are new to string performances that will take center stage.
The Griffon String Quartet was formed in 2018 not just to tour northeast Wisconsin playing a variety of pieces, but also to bring chamber and classical music to the area’s schools. They were able to keep up the mission even during the early stages of the pandemic when lessons with younger students had to take place virtually. Executive Director Allyson Fleck says this will be the first time those students will perform together in a concert setting.
There are a small number of tickets still available for the gala, which will take place at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor on Sunday beginning at 3 p.m.
