Graduation Spotlight: Kewaunee's Katherine Rueckert

Valedictorian for the class of 2022, Katherine Rueckert, has not had the easiest high school experience while enrolled at Kewaunee High School but, this hasn’t stopped her from achieving high grades. Rueckert has earned the rank of top valedictorian by achieving the highest ACT score among the other thirteen 4.0 earning students. Rueckert describes what she feels are her greatest accomplishments from the last four years.

While in high school, Rueckert took part in co-curriculars and extracurriculars. These include an active role in the theater department all four years and time spent acting on stage. In addition, Rueckert was involved in the Future Business Leaders of America club, National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society and Math Team. She also spent time as a percussionist for the school’s concert band, jazz band and pep band, which led her to participate in Solo and Ensemble. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Carroll University in the fall to pursue a degree in computer science and possibly graphic design. Rueckert says that in the future she would like to be a part of the movie making process in filming, producing, or editing.
