Do not be alarmed if you see or hear Air Force fighter jets flying overhead over the next few days. The 115th Fighter Wing, based in Madison, Wis., announced on Thursday morning that it is conducting readiness training with its F-35 aircraft on Thursday and Friday to be prepared for potential responses. The training flights will be conducted between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., allowing pilots to build their skills for daytime and nighttime operations. The training was put to good use last year when airspace over Door County was temporarily closed due to an unidentified flying object that floated around the northern tip of the peninsula before drifting across Lake Michigan into the state of Michigan before eventually being shot down over Lake Huron.
