The Friends of Potawatomi State Park wants you to get active while supporting their mission of continually supporting one of Door County’s five state parks. The organization is hosting its annual Run Wild Race, which includes a 10K, a 5K, and a 1/3-mile kids run. Over the years, proceeds from the event have supported several improvements, including its all-accessible kayak launch. Friends of Potawatomi State Park Board President Traci Bournoville says they are working on constructing an open-air pavilion near the new Eastern Terminus of the Ice Age Trail. The Run Wild Races are on October 11th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the 10K and 5K and 10:30 a.m. for the Kids Run. Registration information is at this link.
