Whether it is summer or winter, on wheels or on foot, or on land or the water, the Kewaunee County Parks Department offers something for everyone to enjoy.
Kewaunee County Parks Director Dave Myers highlighted the department's facilities during Sunday's Pre-Kewaunee County Fair Parade Community Chat. One of the facilities expected to see significant improvements in the coming months is Bruemmer Park Zoo. After upgrading habitats for its bobcats in 2018 and pheasants in 2021, Myers said current fundraising efforts are focused on building a new nature center that will provide visitors with additional restrooms and a new place to explore.
The Kewaunee County Parks Department also manages the county's section of the Ahnapee State Trail, Winter Park, several inland lakes and other recreational facilities throughout the county. You can watch the full parade show below.
