A 29-year-old Manitowoc man was taken to the hospital Sunday after a motorcycle crash in the Town of Sturgeon Bay.

The crash occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. on County U near Sand Lane as the man was heading north and approaching a curve.

According to the crash report, the man was traveling too fast for the curve when he lost control of the motorcycle and left the roadway.

Although he was wearing the proper safety gear, he was taken to Door County Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. No citations were issued.
