Summer might be winding down, but the Door County YMCA is still focused on getting people into the pool.
In this week's Y-Wednesday podcast, Abby Cuccaro introduced herself as the new Sturgeon Bay aquatics director. Cuccaro moved to the area a year ago and is a former competitive swimmer. After discovering her passion for aquatics at the Door County YMCA, she decided to dive into the position.
She also discussed upcoming swim lessons, including the center's Super Swims program, which condenses the traditional lesson schedule into a weeklong intensive program for children learning to swim.
Competitive Swim Team Coach Mike McHugh also joined the conversation, highlighting the conclusion of the Door County YMCA's Peak Performance Clinic and the start of the swim team's fall prep program.
