A Nasewaupee homeowner lost their garage and everything inside it after a fire Wednesday morning. The Nasewaupee Fire Department responded to the blaze on County Highway M between Elms and Hammarstrom roads shortly before 9:15 a.m.

The single-stall garage was already fully engulfed when crews arrived, but the fire was quickly extinguished once crews established a water supply. The Brussels-Union-Gardner, Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay fire departments also responded, along with the Door County Sheriff’s Department and Door County Emergency Services, but not in time to save the structure and its contents.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
