Two months after a summer storm knocked out power in southern Door County and damaged the transmitter for 96.7 WBDK, listeners to Door County’s Playlist will be rewarded for their patience Tuesday. NEW Radio, Inc., the parent company of 96.7 WBDK, U-102.1, The Pirate, 104.1 WRLU and 105.1 The GOAT, recently completed the installation of its fourth solid-state transmitter.
Since mid-July, 96.7 WBDK has been operating under Special Temporary Authority after its transmitter took a direct lightning strike, forcing the station to broadcast at reduced power. With the installation of a new Nautel solid-state transmitter, listeners will experience the station's full power beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
