If you missed the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Washington Island last month, you are in luck this month. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s will return to Sturgeon Bay on Sept. 12 in conjunction with Sunshine Resources’ Sunflower Fest at the city’s Martin Park. The walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. As of Thursday morning, more than $91,000 has been raised, which is 85% of the Door County chapter’s $107,500 goal. With positive momentum building to support people with Alzheimer’s, event organizer Cari Josephson says every little bit helps.
If you cannot make it to Sturgeon Bay this weekend, you can still participate in the third Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Door County this year. The Fish Creek walk will begin and end at Stella Maris Church at 8:30 a.m. You can register at this link or in person at the Sturgeon Bay and Fish Creek events.
