If you’re a home gardener, you can learn ways to preserve and enjoy your harvest during “Putting Up Your Harvest” from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay.
Alumna Master Gardener Stacia Dick-Schuster will lead the presentation, sharing ideas for preserving home-grown vegetables while helping gardeners make the most of their harvest.
“Preserving your garden’s bounty is a great way to enjoy the flavors and nutrition of fresh vegetables long after the growing season ends,” Dick-Schuster said. “There are many simple and practical ways to put up your harvest.”
Dick-Schuster will also offer door prizes during the program.
The event is co-sponsored by the Door County Seed Library and the Door County Master Gardeners. The presentation is free and open to the public.
