Preparing for job fairs require confidence

Category: Local News

No matter how you are entering the job market or where you are coming from, finding a new career could be a tricky proposition if you are not prepared. According to HIGH5 Test, an online psychometric assessment, more than half of job seekers have attended a job fair in the past 12 months, with more people attending them and more employers using them to find future employees. They also tend to work better for job seekers finding that new career with 45 percent of attendees securing at least one interview and 24 percent receiving a job offer. Kim Carley from We Are HOPE, Inc. in Sturgeon Bay says a little confidence goes a long way to becoming successful in finding a job at a job fair.

We Are Hope, Inc. is hosting its job and resource fair on October 13th at the We Are HOPE, Inc. EmployAbility Hub at the Cherry Point Mall in Sturgeon Bay  from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. There is still space for employers looking to add people to have a table to promote job opportunities.
