New HHS director announced for County of Door

Category: Local News

The announcement of a new Health and Human Services (HHS) department director was made at the Door County HHS committee meeting Monday afternoon.

Melissa Annoye will be transitioning from Kewaunee County, where she’s worked for public health for 20 years and is currently the Human Services Director.

Her experience in the rural, and agriculturally focused Kewaunee County provided her the opportunity to work in all facets of health and human services, which she said is why she thinks Door County chose her as a candidate.

In her new role, which she will begin November 2, Annoye plans to start building a team within her own department, and taking a look at department finances.

Annoye replaces Joe Krebsbach, who’s held the position since 2012 after working as the Community Programs director, and leading the county through multiple department mergers.
