As we transition between summer's outdoor activities and focus on indoor winter wellness and fitness, the Sturgeon Bay YMCA has options for all ages.
During this week's Y-Wednesday, we talk with the YMCA's Healthy Living Director Sarah Gavin about 3 main things: 1) The free to access outdoor pavilion, fireplace, and the multi-modal trail around Peterson Park, including the exercise equipment along the trail; 2) Healthy Living Fair next week; 3) Registration for the Fall 2 schedule of classes.
The upcoming Healthy Living Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 8:30am-12pm, and is sponsored by Door County Medical Center.
Gavin promises all attendees will get "Free Stuff", and there's door prizes to win!
The Healthy Living Fair will include 35 vendors from Door and Brown counties, offering information, screenings, a flu shot clinic. Pre-register for screenings and shots, call the Y, or stop by. Expired prescription medication recycling also available.
Free rides available through Door County Connect. Free entry to the Fair.
Registration for Fall 2 schedule of classes opens Monday, Oct. 19 for YMCA Members, and on Wednesday, Oct. 21 for community members. Offerings include fitness and wellness classes for all ages, and for everybody. For the full schedule of classes, visit
DoorCountyYMCA.org, or for a printed schedule, stop by the Y.
