The intersection of the “Post Office Alley” and Louisiana Street, between N. Third Ave. & N. Fourth Ave., will be closed Tuesday, October 20 for replacement of a storm sewer manhole at the alley entrance on the South side of Louisiana Street.
Manhole replacement work is expected to be completed by the end of the work day on Tuesday. Concrete replacement will follow immediately on Wednesday and Thursday. Asphalt pavement replacement, depending on weather and contractor coordination will be completed as soon as possible afterward.
Louisiana Street will be accessible for “Local Traffic Only” from the West using N. Third Ave., and from the East using N. Fourth Ave. As the work progresses limited thru traffic will be allowed on Louisiana Street when possible.
During this work the Alley will be ROAD CLOSED with limited access from the South only using Michigan Street. Please avoid using this alley unless absolutely necessary.
