After initially being left out of a freeze warning covering much of northeastern Wisconsin, including Kewaunee County, Door County is now under a frost advisory.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory for Door County from 3 to 9 a.m. Saturday. Temperatures could fall as low as 33 degrees, with the coldest conditions expected across southern Door County.
As with a freeze warning, residents are encouraged to cover sensitive plants or bring them indoors to protect them from the cold.
The freeze warning for the rest of the region remains in effect from 1 to 9 a.m. Saturday, with temperatures potentially dropping to between 25 and 30 degrees.
In addition to protecting sensitive plants, residents are encouraged to bring pets indoors and shut off outdoor water supplies to prevent damage from freezing temperatures.
