You will have to rely on an alternate route if you plan to drive through Ephraim next week.
The Door County Highway Department announced Tuesday that State Highway 42 will be closed through the village between Meadow Lane and North Shore Road from Oct. 27-29.
The closure is necessary for sanitary sewer work.
With the road impassable during the project, motorists will have to use County Highway Q (Church Street) and State Highway 57 to get around the construction.
