United Way of Door County opens applications for 2027 grant funding

If your organization can make a difference in the community but needs a little help accomplishing its mission, United Way of Door County wants to hear from you.

United Way of Door County opened its application window for 2027 funding Tuesday, calling on organizations that address critical community needs and can create lasting, positive change.

Executive Director Amy Kohnle said the organization is focusing on initiatives that address youth opportunity, healthy communities, financial security and community resilience. She is proud of the support United Way has been able to provide to every corner of the county over the years.

"Through our annual grant process, we have the opportunity to invest in important services, strengthen partnerships, and work together to address the changing needs of our community," Kohnle said. "We encourage organizations whose work aligns with our impact areas to apply."

Organizations can visit United Way of Door County's website or contact Kohnle for more information about the grant application process. The application deadline is Nov. 13.

In August, United Way of Door County announced its annual fundraising campaign goal of $1.25 million, which helps support nearly two dozen programs and partners. Those include United Way of Door County's Child Care Initiative, Healthy Door County, STRIDE — School-Based Mental Health Services, the Door County Alcohol and Other Drug Coalition, and the Door County Partnership for Children and Families.
