Karen M. Grovogel

Karen M. Grovogel (Kane) (Mitchell) 60, of Wausau WI, formerly of Woburn, MA passed away on March 11, 2020 while holding her daughter’s hand; after a short but extremely hard battle with lung cancer.  Dear Mother of Angela Wolf and her husband Rick Wolf of Rhinelander, WI; Kevin Mitchell of Seattle WA; and Brandon Grovogel  and his wife Katherine of Brussels, WI.  Loving grandmother of Henry J. (Joey) Gilson IV of Sturgeon Bay, WI: Isabella Anderson of Rhinelander, WI; and Syryth and Noryan Mitchell of Pennsylvania.  Much loved sister of Edward Kane and Karen Ciaramitaro of Melrose, MA;  Teresa Keehn-Wing and her husband Ronald Wing of Woburn, MA and James Kane and his wife Kerry Lane Kane of Westford, MA.  Predeceased by her parents Robert L. and Barbara T. (Flynn) Kane of Woburn, MA and her brother Robert J. Kane of Woburn, MA.  Survived by beloved nieces and nephews:  Corey Keehn of Somerville, MA; Christina Le and her husband Tan Le of Amesbury, MA; Michael Kane and his wife Julie Kingston Kane of Amesbury, MA; Max, Elliot, Billie and Fillicity Kane of Westford, MA and great nieces and nephews Sofiea and Tan Le and Graeden, Sheamus and Maddox Kane all of Amesbury, MA.  Also survived by additional loving people in her life-Cousins Margaret (Peggi) Carlin of Ogunquit, ME; Michele Hughes of Bridgewater, MA and Denise Ahern of Charlestown, MA; Former sister-in-law Silvia Todisco Sawall of Danvers, MA and former husband Joe Grovogel of Brussels, WI.  It was Karen’s wish to be cremated and have her ashes spread in the Atlantic Ocean which will be private and at a later date.  Donations to the American Cancer Society in Karen’s honor are appreciated by her family.
