Audrey M. Reckelberg

Audrey M. Reckelberg, 88, Luxemburg died Tuesday, November 24, 2020. 

 

She was born in Denmark on May 15, 1932 to the late Walter and Gladys C. (Yager) Radue. 

 

On October 2, 1954, Audrey married Frederick W. Reckelberg at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in Denmark. 

He preceded her in death on December 27, 2002.

 

At her early teenage years, Audrey began playing the organ for the Lutheran Church in Henrysville. 

She continued with her musical talent, teaching numerous students, playing for countless weddings and funerals.  Audrey humbly was presented with an award from St. Paul Lutheran Church, for over 70 years combined musical service. 

 

She was the secretary of the Wisconsin Steam Engine Club for 40 plus years.

 

  Audrey was involved with 4-H and Lutherans for Life.  A devoted wife and mother she was very involved with the lives of her family.  She and Fred made two trips out to Germany, and she always looked forward to gathering with friends at the Steam Engine Group. 

 

Most of all, NO ONE could bake a better angel food cake than Audrey!

 

Survivors include her three children, Paul (friend, Heidrum Sautke) Reckelberg, Glenn (Renee) Reckelberg, Doug (Sandy) Reckelberg, all of Luxemburg; four grandchildren, Kristine (Scott Boulanger) Reckelberg, Craig Reckelberg, Kevin Reckelberg, Tyler (Courtney Boehm) Reckelberg; five step grandchildren; one great granddaughter; eleven step great grandchildren; one brother in law, Myron Shimanek, Denmark; brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces and nephews along with Audrey’s little dog, Buffy, further survive

.

Audrey was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine (August) Krueger, Joanne Shimanek; Reckelberg brothers in law and sisters in law.

 

Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier, 9:30 to 10:45 am, Friday, November 27, 2020.

 

  Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson officiating.  Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montpelier.
