Diane Elizabeth Owens, 80, of Green Bay, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on December 7, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was born November 11, 1940, in Milwaukee to Edward and Jeanette (Christiansen) Dutschek. On August 22, 1959, she married William E. Owens in Milwaukee, he preceded her in death on April 10, 1992.
Diane loved doing puzzles and watching movies. She was a very giving person who enjoyed spoiling everyone. Diane was also known by many as the “Candy Lady”.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra (James) Laster, Green Bay; a son, Steve Owens, Winnebago, WI; three grandchildren, Ross Wilson, Green Bay; Logan (Kym) Wilson, Green Bay; Aaron Laster, Virginia; great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jack Sellhausen; nieces and nephews; dear friends, Vi Ackerman, Kathi King, and Betty Rassmussen; special companion, Rose and other friends at Bornemann’s Assisted Living.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Ronnie; and 2 sisters, Dolores Sellhausen and Donna Beck.
Due to the pandemic the family will have memorial services at a later date. Forbes Funeral Home & Cremations is assisting the family with arrangements.
