Muriel D. Gruetzmacher, 95, died Monday afternoon December 7, 2020 at Kewaunee Health Services nursing home in Kewaunee. 

She was born July 5, 1925 to the late Loretta (Kudick) and Henry Hannemann in Luxemburg Wisconsin.  On May 26, 1945 she married Marvin F. Gruetzmacher at St. John Lutheran Church, Luxemburg. 

He preceded her in death on December 6, 2010. Together they farmed and lived in rural Kewaunee.  She was longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  During her lifetime she enjoyed gardening and always had a variety of plants growing in the house.

Survivors include two sons, Dale (Shirley) Gruetzmacher of Chesapeake, VA and Glen (Mary Ellen) Gruetzmacher of Manitowoc, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister Bernice Reckelberg and brother in law Harold Reckelberg, Luxemburg; one grandchild, Amber and one greatgrandchild, Arianna.

In keeping gatherings to a minimum a private burial service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church/Cemetery in Montpelier with Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson officiating.
