Wayne J. Worachek

Wayne J. Worachek, 67 of Algoma, WI passed away February 6, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Mary, his wife of 25 years and his daughter Cassandra were at the bedside for his warm embrace at the heaven's gate.

Although Wayne's passion was motocycles, family and friends always came first.  Wayne married Lynn Hardee in his early years.  They divorced, but share two daughters,  Tina and Cassie.  Wayne married Mary Zastrow on Christmas Day, 1995.  He gained another two daughters, April and Cassandra. Blending the family was important to Mary and Wayne, and they are so proud the girls are truly sisters.

Wayne has been blessed with seven grandchildren.  He took great pride in watching the grandchildren grow up.  He was dedicated to attending as many extracurricular activities as he could to support them all. His grandchildren were truly his pride and joy!

Wayne had an array of interests within his life.  Wayne took pride in being the Crew Chief known as "Pops" to his flat track race team; Cole, Izzy and Grace. The whole team is active members of the AMA district 16.

Throughout his life he had hobbies of stock car racing, shooting trap competition at local clubs, a music, history, and science buff, and a love of nature; of course via motorcycle the majority of the time.

Wayne has a love of animals. Starting with his dogs,  Freedom, Hank, Payne, Coco who he's joining in heaven, and leaving his current best friend and companion Buddy with grandma. He lost his beloved  momma cat of 25 years a week before his passing.

Wayne is survived by his wife,  Mary. Daughters:  Tina (Bjorn), Cassie (Eric), April (Tim), and Cassandra (Jason).  His grandchildren:  Carly, Cole, Tru Lynn, Isabell, Hailey, Gracelyn, and Kolt, his mother Florence; brothers, Dennis (Barb), Mark (Mary), and Michael (Marsha).   Mary's family:  Donna, Dr. Leona, Gene, Pat (Diane), Chuck, Nancy (Riley), Harry (Roxann), Tim (Cheryl), Mike (Sue), Luke (Natalie), and Mark (Pam). Wayne held a special place for extended children who called him grandpa:  Hans, Payton, Natalie and Hannah

Greeting Wayne in heaven is his father Donald, his in laws, Kathryn (Harry), Godmother Norma (Eddie).  Brother and sister in laws: Danny, Daniel, Jim (Edna), and Ellen.

A special thank you from Mary and sisters to Cassandra Andresen, for her personal dedication and keeping her promise to be with dad all the way.

The Family would like to extend thanks to Leah and team from Aurora Hospice for their support.

A special thanks to the "race family" that stepped up during this difficult time.  A very special thanks and gratitude to Dan and Debbie Peterson for being welcoming mentors.

There will be a public visitation, Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 from 3 PM until 7 PM at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma and   will continue Saturday, Feb 20, 2021 from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM with Ken Kinstetter officiating.

Due to the pandemic masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's honor to Children's Hospital at childrenswi.org  or to UW Pancreatic cancer research at mycarbone.org.
