William “Bill” Van Allen Jr., 66, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home on May 3, 2021. He was born in Chicago to William and Judith (Gedmin) Van Allen Sr. on July 26, 1954. Bill served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972 to 1975. He worked in the commercial construction business for most of his life and was a member of the Wisconsin Carpenters Union.
He is survived by two sons, William “Billy” (Tara) Van Allen III, Rice Lake, WI and Samuel (Alysa) Van Allen, Oshkosh; mother of his children, Laurie Van Allen, Wautoma; 5 grandchildren, Trenton, Gage, Emmett, Kingsley, and a baby girl “on the way”; 2 brothers, John (Kim) Van Allen and Mike Van Allen; a sister, Julie Van Allen; special friend, Valerie DeLair, Sturgeon Bay. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.
According to Bill’s wishes, no services are to be conducted. Burial will be in the Veteran’s Cemetery in King, Wisconsin. Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
