Dean Michael Hinske

Dean Michael Hinske, 71, passed away peacefully July 4, 2021, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Dean was born in Neenah to George and Beverly Hinske and graduated from Menasha High School. After graduation, he moved to New Orleans where he lived for seven years. During a visit home, he met his soulmate of 44 years, Kathie. Together they raised four amazing children, Dana (Jermaine) Smith [Laila, Devin, Emma and Kalum], Sarah (Brent) Wentlandt [Sophia and Pippa], Aaron Hinske [Kyan, Cameron and Allison] and Laura Hinske.

In 1982, they purchased Winchester Hill Golf Course and operated it for 30 years. This is where they made the greatest memories and had so many wonderful friends that became family. After selling the course, they moved to Sister Bay, which was always their happy place. Dean was the best father, husband, and provider. He was always the life of the party with his quick wit, one-liners, and contagious laugh.

Dean is survived by his wife Kathie, kids, and grandchildren. Also, his brother, Mark (Connie) Hinske; many nieces and nephews; Uncle Mike Meton; and close friends, Brian Blazer, Kirk Overby, Dave “Arnie” Johnson. Special thanks to Cori Shanahan and Bev Bleitz for always being there.

He was preceded in death by his father, George; and brother, Gary; and mother, Beverly.

A heartfelt “Thank You” to the Sister Bay EMTs, all the staff and caregivers in the 400 Wing of Rennes Health in De Pere for the wonderful care given to Dean the past month, as well as, the lovely ladies of Unity Hospice. It is our hope that one day soon Parkinson’s will be eradicated entirely.

Per Dean’s request, there will be no service or memorial. Give him a toast and share your memories.

“Oh Deaner- May your drives be long & straight. Your putts be birdies and your Corona’s be bottomless!  Love you forever, Kath”

Casperson Funeral Home & Cremations Services in Sister Bay is assisting the Hinske family. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos of Dean may be shared with his family through his tribute page at www.caspersonfuneralhome.com.
