Willard W. Magle

Willard Wayne Magle, 80, was called to his eternal home on July 6, 2021, with his family by his side.

Willie was born on March 27, 1941, to the late Albert and Libbie (Novak) Magle. He married the love of his life Leilani Bero, on November 4, 1961. Born and raised in Algoma, Willie and Lani built a life that most could only dream of. He served in the US Army and retired from Bay Ship. A carpenter by trade, he was the ultimate handyman, always building and fixing something, never one to just sit and rest.

Willie loved being at the cabin and spending time at the land. He was an avid outdoorsman. His love for the outdoors shines through in his kids and grandkids. Teaching them to hunt and fish brought him immense pride and joy, and gave them memories that will last a lifetime.

Willie is survived by his wife Lani; children, Joe (Denise) Magle, Debbie (Chuck) Swoboda, Shane (Stephanie) Magle, Nicole (Brian) Kratz, Joy (Jeff) Lee; son-in-law Guy Haasch; many grand and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, six brothers, and his grandson Justin Magle.

Willie was always volunteering at and with many organizations, clubs, and church. He was always willing to lend a hand. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Willie’s life at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home – Algoma, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 1 pm until 4 pm with a funeral service taking place at 4 pm with Rev. Gary Stangland officiating.

Online condolence messages may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in Willie's name to the organization of your choosing.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora, Aurora at Home Hospice Service, and the Algoma Rescue Squad. Willie lived his life to the fullest and he will be dearly missed.
