John "Jack" Paplham, 86, Algoma, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Oak Creek Assisted Living in Algoma. He was born July 25, 1934 in the Town of Carlton to Joseph and Eva (Dupont) Paplham.
Jack attended the Kewaunee High School and he helped on the home farm until he entered the US Army and spent two years in Okinawa and then a couple of years in the reserves.
After his honorable discharge he came back to the area where he worked for the Kewaunee County Highway Department for 34 years. He retired at the age of 55.
He married Angela Dachelet on September 17, 1960.
Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, trapping and rummage sales.
He is survived by his wife Angela, two sons Scott (Chris) and Steve (Joan); four grandchildren Bryce, Tyler, Brandon (Alli Curtis) and Erica; one great grandchild Sadie. Jack was preceded in death by his parents
Family and friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Father Alvan Amadi officiating. Full military honors after the Mass. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
