Lois Schubert-Brown

Lois Schubert-Brown was granted eternal rest and peace by God on August 6, 2021.  She was born December 29, 1960 in Algoma to Lawrence and Irene (Schley) Schubert.  On May 12, 1984 she married Scott Brown at Salem Lutheran Church.

Lois graduated from Southern Door High School and earned an associate degree in accounting from NWTC.  She started working for Baylake Bank (now Nicolet Bank) right after high school and worked there for 37 years.  She started work as a teller and worked her way up into becoming an auditor.

Lois was a lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church where she played the organ for many years.  She enjoyed playing softball, camping, being active in 4-H and Relay For Life, participating in the Door County Fair and taking road trips to the casinos.

Lois was proud to have introduced her great niece Chloe to her love of horses.  She was also an avid Packer Fan. Lois will be remembered as a spunky gal, with a  keen wit, a sparkle in her eye, a smile on her face, and always ready for a good time.

Survivors include her husband, Scott; a son, Tyler (significant other, Brittany); 1 sister, Norma (Dale) Uecker;  2 brothers, Paul (Debra) Schubert, Roger (Wendy) Schubert; mother-in-law, Delores Brown; in-laws: Roger Patza; Connie and Brad Hale; Laverne and John Zuroske; nieces and nephews: Tracy and Jeremy LaCrosse and their children Meghan and Chloe, Krissy and Kevin Phillips and their children Riley and Ross; Adam Schubert and Lisa Frisque and their children, Victoria, Landen, Aubrey and Ava; Amber and Ryan Francour and their children Kason and Kinsley; Jennifer Ploor and her children Cyndi, Kyle, and Alex (Lois’ Godson); Jodi and Ryan Wery and their children Ashley and Lexi; Jason and Andrea Patza and their children Natalie and Jacob; Emma and Brad Jannsen and their daughter Madelyn; Colin Schubert; Robert Peterson and Rachel Hale; Nicole Worley and her children, Isaiah and Liliah;  Taylor and Marissa Worley and their children, Suvi and Eilo; Brook Zuroske.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Robert Brown; a brother Allan; a sister, Jane Patza; sister-in-law, Peggy.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Salem Lutheran Church, the Rev. Tod Vertz officiating.  Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and then after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church until time of services.  A devotion service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to Door CANcer, Inc.
