Obituaries

Trudy A. Berkhahn

Trudy Ann Berkhahn, 72, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home on Sept. 21, 2021.  She was born August 5, 1949 in Sturgeon Bay to Homer and Margaret (Weckler) DeBroux.  On Oct. 29, 1966, she married Robert Glenn Berkhahn at St. Francis Xavier Church in Brussels.

Trudy was employed by Emerson Motor Company in Sturgeon Bay for many years.  During her life, she was an active member of her community.  Trudy was a girl scout leader, a long-time blood donor, and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the Miller Art Museum.

She was also a member of the local garden club and was recently the “Queen” of the Red Hatters.  Her greatest joy and love of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband and two children, Tammy (Joe) Moreaux and Robert Jr. (Tina) Berkhahn; 3 grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Moreaux, Joey Berkhahn (Abby), and Ashley (Eric) O’Dell; 2 step-grandchildren, Nicolas (Haley) Gruetzmacher and Ashley Gruetzmacher; 2 great-grandchildren, Lily and Zoey; 1 step-great-granddaughter Kailey; 1 sister Suzanne (David) Warwick; in-laws, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a godchild Amberly LaViolette.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.
