Urban F. Destiche

Urban F. Destiche, 90, Luxemburg, entered eternal life on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at home with his family by his side.  He was born October 4, 1930, in the Town of Red River, to the late Alvin and Frieda (Vandevelde) Destiche.  He married Frances I. Delebreau at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln on September 27, 1958, celebrating 60 years of marriage before her passing on December 17, 2018.

 

Urban and Frances ran a dairy farm in Champion while raising their eight children.  During this time, Urban also hauled milk cans and cheese for Tonet Farmers’ Cheese Factory.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to backyard bon fires and watching the sunset from the front porch.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed field work, gardening, and yard work.  He took pride in the fall harvest.

 

Urban is survived by his children, Marcia (Brian) Dalebroux, Donna Destiche, Barbara (Patrick) Zellner, Gloria (Mark) Heim, Dale (Kim) Destiche, Ann (Scott) Fameree, Joan (Jason) Haen, Mary (Jason) Vandermause; grandchildren, Greg Dalebroux (friend Lela Louangsisongkham), Lee (Katie) Dalebroux, Steve (Jessica) Dalebroux, Bradley (Jenny) Zellner, Ryan (Maggie) Zellner, Matthew Zellner (friend Chelsea Conard), Aaron (Kim) Heim, Brian (Cortney) Heim, Lauren Destiche (friend Jake Wendling), Luke Destiche (fiancé Mikenzie Flannery), Amanda Fameree, Ashley Fameree, Nicole Haen, Natalie Haen, Megan Vandermause (friend Travis LeGrave), Anna Vandermause, Evan Vandermause; great-grandchildren, Theodore Dalebroux and Atari Mohawk, Alex and Ethan Dalebroux, Josie, Brett, Blake, and Boyd Zellner, Baby Zellner due in December, Levi and Alivia Heim, Isabella Heim; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeanne (James) Junion, and Dorothy Cochart.

 

Urban is preceded in death by his wife, Frances; his parents, Alvin and Frieda Destiche; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Libbie Delebreau; step father-in-law, Ernest Fameree; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert (Audrey) Delebreau, Mae (Harvey) LeFevre, Donald Cochart, and infant Lee Delebreau.

 

Friends may call 1:00 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2021, at St. Joseph Church (in Champion), 5996 County Road K, New Franken, WI  54229.  Closing parish Rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.  Visitation will continue on Monday, October 4, 2021, between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Champion.  Funeral 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Champion.
