Virgil O. Robinson Sr.

Virgil O. Robinson Sr., age 78 of Carlton died on October 11, 2021at home surounded by his family.  He was born in Carlton on March 26, 1943 to the late Otto Sr. And Lucille (Mott) Robinson.  

He married Janice Brans in Maplewood on October 24, 1964.

Virgil started working for Mirro Aluminum Co. of Two Rivers for several years, then worked for Kewaunee Engineering, now Kewaunee Fabrications, until retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Janice; one daughter and son-in-law: Bonita and William DeGrave, Green Bay; six sons and four daughters-in-law: William Robinson, Kewaunee; Virgil Jr. and Janelle Robinson, Kewaunee; Robert and Kathy Robinson, Kewaunee; Brian and Leslie Robinson, Green Bay, David Robinson and special friend, Christine, Kewaunee,  James and Christine Robinson, Kewaunee; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters: Verna Pontzloff, Kewaunee; Dennis Robinson, Kewaunee; Otto Jr. (Jean) Robinson, Kewaunee; Dale (Mary) Robinson, Kewaunee; Donna Thompson-Krohn, Kewaunee; Kenneth (Tina) Robinson, Kewaunee; Julie (Steve) Sinkula, Kewaunee; Mary (Jim) Roethle, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law: Diane Brans, Algoma, Margaret (David) Ferron, Kewaunee.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael; two grandsons, Travis DeGrave, Kevin Robinson; two brothers, Gerald Robinson, Gene Robinson, three brothers-in-law: Michael Thompson, Chuck Krohn, George Pontzloff; one nephew, Steven Thompson, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: William Sr. and Marie Brans; a brother-in-law: William Brans Jr.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee.  A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. by Christal Wavrunek.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home after 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Christal Wavrunek officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery at Krok.
