Elean M. Weckler

Elean Mae Weckler, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on October 26, 2021, at Anna’s House.  She was born in Nasewaupee on November 2, 1933, to Lester and Mamie (Witt) Hembel.  On June 16, 1951, she married Gerald H. Weckler in Sturgeon Bay, he preceded her in death on November 10, 2002.  Elean and her husband owned and operated their farm for over 50 years.

Elean loved having a house full of family and always had food ready to serve them all.  She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and watching birds.  But her favorite pastime was antiquing and going to flea markets, especially while wintering in Florida.  She was also active in the church her entire life and was very devoted to her faith.

Survivors include 7 children, Cheryl Pagel, Sturgeon Bay; Dale (Terry) Weckler, Sturgeon Bay; Linda (Dale) Mueller, Algoma; Gene (Joan) Weckler, GA; Randy (Bobbie) Weckler, Sturgeon Bay; Christine (Brad) Moe, Sturgeon Bay; Lori (Todd) Blight, Sturgeon Bay; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild.  three sisters, Carol Blise, FL; Joanne Kimber, Sturgeon Bay; Sandy Raynier, Oshkosh; a brother, Lester (Pam) Hembel, Elton, WI; a daughter-in-law, Lori Weckler, SC; a sister-in-law, Audrey Hembel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, a son, Allen Weckler; two sisters, Donna (Donald) Rodney; Darlene (Tim) Rohr; a brother, Darold Hembel; three in-laws, Edmund Blise, Jerry Kimber, Richard Raynier.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Tod Vertz officiating.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of services.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.   Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family.  In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Unity Hospice.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
