Joyce Sutton went to be with her Lord on October 18, 2021, after a battle with illness. On July 27, 1942, she was born in Milwaukee, WI to Gerald and Anita Schultz. Her childhood was spent in Milwaukee with her family (6 siblings). She attended Washington High School, where she graduated in 1964. She later meet and married William Sutton in Milwaukee, WI on May 23, 1970. After marriage, they moved to the Appleton, WI area for a brief time where William was employed. About a year later, in 1971, they moved to the Algoma, WI where they purchased a farmstead on the north side of Algoma. During this time, Joyce was a stay-at-home mom to her two children, which she loved every minute. She also helped her husband with the farm, assisting with the raising of livestock (feeder pigs, young calves), and various crops. She was also actively involved with the church and her children’s activities where she participated in Sunday school, vacation Bible school, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Homemakers, and various church activities and organizations. Later in life, Joyce worked outside the home at different businesses in the Sturgeon Bay, WI area including a long-time employee of Bay Lake Bank (Nicolet Bank) and K-Mart. After retirement, Joyce enjoyed traveling with her husband, attending the “Joyce Club”, and spending time with her family (especially her two beloved grandchildren) and friends.
She is survived by her husband William, son Geoffrey (Sylwia), daughter Amy (Nicholas) Feld, two grandchildren, Lauren Feld and Jacob Sutton, three sisters and a brother, Janet Dziuba, Diane (Anton) Klemm, Kathleen (William) Szymanski, Wayne Schultz as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joseph and Robert Schultz, sister-in-law’s Ruth (Linke) Schultz, Beverly (Burke) Schultz, Paulette (Hrymnak) Schultz, brother-in-law Joseph Dziuba.
Friends may call at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 316 West Main Street, Forestville, Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Christopher Jackson officiating. Burial at a later date in Milwaukee.
The SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, was entrusted with the arrangements for the Sutton family.
