Misty Dawn (Taylor) Claflin

Misty Dawn (Taylor) Claflin, 39, Kewaunee, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021.  She was born November 12, 1982 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Pastor Kenneth and Naomi (Sommerville) Taylor.

Misty graduated from Wings of Eagles Christian Academy in Algoma.  After high school she went on to graduate from Trinity Bible College in North Dakota.  Misty furthered her education by attending the Empire Cosmetology School and receiving her credentials for teaching in child care. 

Misty loved her missionary work with her time in Mexico and Romania. 

Misty married Shawn Claflin in 2011 and was blessed with two children Caden and Lillyuana.

Misty touched the lives of everyone she met and was loved by all.

She is survived by her husband Shawn, children Caden and Lillyuana; her parents Pastor Ken (Naomi) Taylor; two brothers and one sister-in-law Matt (Chy) Taylor and Jeremy Taylor; father-in-law Lee Claflin (special friend Jan Judson), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ken (Sandra) Brabender, Tony (Susan) Brabender, Shane (Heather) Claflin and Chris (Christina) Claflin.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Arthur (Margaret) Taylor and Floyd (Virginia) Sommerville and mother-in-law Karen Claflin.

Family and friends are invited for a viewing, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the  Schinderle Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC, Algoma, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM with Pastor Randall Lassila officiating.  Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma.
