Dolores M. Balza

Dolores M. Balza, 68 years old of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

     She was born May 11, 1953, in Sturgeon Bay the daughter of the late Wallace and Marie (Jeanquart) LeCloux. Dolores graduated from Southern Door High School in 1971. For 26 years she was employed with Wal Mart in Sturgeon Bay and retired three years ago as Claims Supervisor.

     Dolores enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Charlotte and daughter, Mysti along with feeding the birds, caring for her cats, being a Packer Fan, playing canasta and puzzle games, and watching Hallmark movies. She was a supporter of Door County Humane Society.

     Survivors include her daughter, Mysti Van Kirk of Sturgeon Bay; granddaughter, Charlotte Van Kirk; life partner of 31 years, Todd Medd of Sturgeon Bay; sisters, Judy (Gary) Combs, and Beverly (Dale) Delchambre; brother, Darrel (Maria) LeCloux all of Sturgeon Bay.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, Wallace and Marie LeCloux; husband, William Balza; and son, Darrick John Balza.

     Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Mark Schwartzbauer officiating. Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

     Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home.

     Memorials may be made in her memory for the Door County Humane Society.
