Jerome A. Cote

Jerome Arthur Cote, 88, Sturgeon Bay passed away on November 26, 2021, at Anna’s Healthcare.  He was born February 27, 1933, in Jacksonport to Joseph and LaValla (Weborg) Cote.  Jerome married Judith Ann Kiehnau on March 2, 1957, in Jacksonport.

Jerry enjoyed gardening, golfing, playing sheepshead, feeding his birds, and fishing.  He was a member of the Jacksonport Historical Society and helped organize funeral veteran services for many years.  Jerry was a loving man with a gentle heart who would do anything for you.

Survivors include his wife; two children, Debora (Jerome) Rieder, Rockton, IL; Mark (Jill) Cote, Sturgeon Bay; three grandchildren, Amy Rieder, Nick (Charissa) Cote and Brandon (Amanda) Cote; one great-grandson, Marten; three brothers-in-law, Nap Magno, Milwaukee; Gerald Kiehnau, Sturgeon Bay; Paul Kiehnau, Egg Harbor; one sister-in-law, Ellen Kiehnau, Egg Harbor.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Brian; two sisters, Marlene Magno and Yvonne (Roland) Nalbert; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kiehnau and LeeAnn Kiehnau; a brother in-law, Allen Kiehnau.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay, the Rev. Joel Sauer officiating.  Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of services.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Jacksonport.  Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and School.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
