Florence M. Massart

It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Massart announces her passing on December 15, 2021.

She was born on May 25, 1927, to John and Mabel (Lacrosse) Monfils and raised on the family farm. She married Harry Massart on June 8, 1954, at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Rosiere, and together ran the family farm. Florence enjoyed playing cards and visits to the Chapel in Robinsonville. She never missed the 9:00 o'clock news. She was proud of her Belgian heritage and loved to be called Madine Florence, a Belgian endearment. She now joins the circle of a large extended family and friends in heaven.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Joe Bero; two grandsons Nick (April), and Tim; six Godchildren, Marlene, Karen, Doug, Brenda, Rita, and Darrell; and the families of her sister Lorraine and Harry’s brother Orville; cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister- and brother-in-law Lorraine (Lloyd) Delfosse; in-laws, William and Octavia Massart; brother- and sister-in-law, Orville (Laura) Massart; and nephews, Dustin Ferron and Chris Delfosse (infant).

Visitation will be held at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services (formerly Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home) – Casco from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021, with an opening prayer service at 1:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church from 9:30 – 10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd mausoleum at a later time. Online condolence messages may be shared at www.KinnardFCS.com.

The family would like to thank Steve, Margo, Marlene, and David, for all of the help given to Florence that allowed her to remain at home as long as she did. Thank you to all who supported Florence throughout the years. We wish we could list you all but know that you are in our hearts forever.

“When I die tell them how much I love them all.” - Madine Florence
