Daniel Lauder

Daniel Paul Lauder, 63, of Sturgeon Bay, died suddenly at home on Jan. 4, 2022.  He was born July 22, 1958, in Merrill, Wisconsin to Harry and Mildred Lauder.   On March 11, 1978, he married Joann Marie Brauer at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Sturgeon Bay.

Dan was a graduate of Sevastopol High School and was employed by Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay.  He was an avid Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Cubs fan.  Dan liked playing softball, trap shooting, board games, and playing sheepshead.  He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons and attending their sporting events.  He also enjoyed going for car rides and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, 3 sons, Kevin (Allison) Lauder, Keith (Amy Haen) Lauder, and Kurtis (Melissa) Lauder, all of Sturgeon Bay; 7 grandsons, Reece, Max, Griffin, Mason, Hudson, Carson and Isaak; 2 brothers, Mike (Wendy) Lauder, Green Bay; and Bob (Shannon) Lauder, Sturgeon Bay; a sister, Julie (Todd) Sternard, Sturgeon Bay; mother-in-law Shirley Brauer, Sturgeon Bay; in-laws, Mike (Char) Brauer, Sturgeon Bay, Pam (Craig) Johnson, Pound, WI; Barb (Earl) Gibson, Sturgeon Bay; Cheryl (Ben) Peotter, Chippewa Falls, WI; Kelly (Dwight) Ristow, Sturgeon Bay; David (Shelly) Brauer, Saxson, WI; Peter Brauer, Green Bay; Pen Kleinschmidt, Marshfield, WI; and Roy LaViolette, Sturgeon Bay; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog Lily.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Jayme Kleinschmidt and Mary LaViolette, and father-in-law Jack Brauer.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Olin Sletto officiating.  Burial will be in Hainesville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given the Mighty Pioneers Sports Club.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
