Donald Leo VanDreese Jr., 68, of Algoma passed away at Algoma Long Term Unit on January 11, 2022. He was born March 11, 1953 in Sturgeon Bay to Donald and LaVerne (Milke) VanDreese Sr.
After high School, Don worked at P.B.I and then at the Dorchester Nursing Home. For a while, he lived and worked in Horse Cave, Kentucky, where he met his wife Dorice. After she passed away, he returned to Door County to be near his family.
Donald enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, working on trucks, and following the stock car races.
He is survived by two sisters, Donna VanDreese and Pat Henke, both of Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son David, brother Richard, nephew Timothy Sternard and niece Bethany VanDreese.
Private family services will be conducted. Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
