Obituaries

Howard D. Daoust

Howard D. Daoust, 96, New Franken, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  He was born in New York on July 8, 1925, to the late Omar and Louise (Fugere) Daoust.  On September 6, 1948, he married Dorothy Hazel Sobiek at St. John the Baptist Church, Howard. 

His enjoyments included, gardening, boating, picnics, “tinkering” with many projects and spending quality time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Dorothy and three grandchildren, Lori Tauschek, Lisa (Dan) Johnson, Jodi (Jeromy Deprey) Reinhard; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Claire Van Schyndel; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Sobieck, Jenny Everard, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and one son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Tauschek; one grandson-in-law, Mark Reinhard; three brothers, Clarence (Marie) Daoust, Joe (Jeneva) Daoust, Leo (Baeb) Daoust; three sisters, Josephine (Anthony) Will, Rita Daoust, Rose (Lambert) Vanden Langenberg; three brothers-in-law, Robert Sobieck, Richard Everard, Harold (Elaine) Sobiek.

Friends may call between 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Kilian Church, New Franken on Monday, January 31, 2022.  Funeral 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating.  Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
