Richard D. Bosetski

Richard D. Bosetski 88 of Luxemburg passed away peacefully after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Monday morning, February 7, 2022, with his loved ones by his side.  He was born November 1, 1933, to the late Frank and Catherine (Jurczykowski) Bosetski in the Town of Eaton.  He grew up on the family farm with eleven siblings.  He graduated from West Eaton Grade School and attended Luxemburg High School.  He enlisted in the Navy on May 12, 1953, during the Korean War and was on active duty until April 19, 1957.  He was on inactive duty until May 11, 1961, when he was discharged.  On April 18, 1959, he married Anita DeBauche at St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Eaton, Wisconsin and together they shared 62 years of marriage and were blessed with five beautiful children.  When they married, Richard worked at Fabry Glove and Mitten for a number of years and later worked for Murphy Supply Company as a truck driver for 30 years.  Richard then had a farm where he worked while working at Murphy Supply Company until his retirement from Murphy Supply.  He then continued to run the farm.  He loved to fish and hunt.  Richard also taught his son to fish and hunt and made him into the avid hunter/fisherman he is today.  He was also a huge Packer fan and season ticket holder for several years and attended the famous Ice Bowl.  He also loved Polka music and never missed an opportunity to get out on the dance floor.  Additionally, he loved listening to his daughters sing and play the piano.  The house was always filled with music.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, attending their school events and extra curricular activities.  They all loved Grandpa very, very much.  He was a prayerful man who loved Jesus.  He was a member of St. Therese Parish, Pilsen, Wisconsin.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Anita; three daughters and their families:  Lori (John Dessart) DePere, WI and their children Kyle (Leann) Dessart and their children Logan, D’Asia, Arianna, and Elijah, Colorado; Luke and Matthew De Pere, and Mark (Raelyn) Dessart, Florida; Christie (Steven) Nimmer and their children Cayden and Grace, Allouez; Jodie Wojkiewicz, (boyfriend: Joseph Jarabek, Suamico, WI) Seymour, WI and her daughters Alyssa (Joshua) Pettigrew, North Carolina and Ariana Wojkiewicz, Seymour, WI; one son David (Tera) Bosetski, (Brussels) and their children, Alexis Burk, Sturgeon Bay and Christian Burk, Brussels;  Curt and Cole Cravillion both of Casco, WI.  He is also survived by sibling sisters, Geneveive Derbique and Carol Bosetski of Green Bay, WI.   He is also survived by a sister-in-law Geraldine DeBauche and a brother-in-law Robert DeBauche and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Catherine Bosetski, his in-laws Norrie and Alice (Champeau) DeBauche, his daughter Holly Bosetski, a son-in-law Mark Wojkiewicz, three brothers Peter (Esther) Bosetski, Stanley Bosetski, and Francis (Kathy) Bosetski.  Six sisters and their spouses, Verna (Clifford) Georgia, Theresa (Norbert) Cisler, Marie (William) Rutten, Esther (Anthony) Barrette, Martha (Donald) Enderby, and Rose Mary (Joseph) Vandenbush, a brother-in-law, (Richard) DeBauche and brother-in-law Wayne Derbique and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call between 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph – St. John Site, Pilsen, E860 State Highway 29, Luxemburg.  Funeral 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating and Christal Wavrunek, assisting.  Military flag presentation provided by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg.  Entombment in The Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
